Special Interim Management Orders

A local authority can use a Special Interim Management Order (SIMO) on any rented property where:

A local authority can use a Special Interim Management Order (SIMO) on any rented property where:

  • anti-social behaviour is emanating from the activites of tenants in an individual rented property
  • the landlord is not taking the appropriate action to deal with the problem
  • a SIMO will lead to reduction in the problem and,
  • the SIMO is necessary in order to protect the health, safety or welfare of occupants or visitors to the property or other people engaging in lawful activities in the vicinity of the property
