Legislative Changes Made to the Right the Rent Scheme

On Monday 2 November 2020, legislative changes to the Right to Rent Scheme came into force. The amendments are designed to make it easier for letting agents and landlords to conduct checks and for individuals to prove their right to rent. The legislative changes allow letting agents and landlords to use a new Home Office online checking service. The service will be available from 25 November 2020 on the GOV.UK website.
