Safety checks on high rise residential blocks

The NLA and UKALA have been contacted by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) in relation to the work the Government is undertaking following the tragic events of the Grenfell Tower fire. Although it is unlikely that private residential landlords and agents will be directly connected with the ownership or block management of similar residential blocks, the DCLG has issued some information on checks to undertake where owners and managers are concerned about the safety of external cladding attached to high rise buildings.
