Understanding Written Statements in Wales
The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, which came into force on 1st December 2022, has been a game changer for residential lettings, comprehensively rewriting housing law in Wales. It Introduced new rights for tenants and prescribed rules and procedures for agents and landlords including the potentially confusing requirement to provide their tenants (now referred to as contract-holders) with written statements.
