Fire Safety reform consultation – a call to action

Many of the House of Lords proposals in the recent Fire Safety Act 2021, which amended the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, were rejected by the House of Commons. Building upon these recent changes though, the Government is now proposing those in control of ‘high rise’ buildings must prepare Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs), as recommended by the Grenfell Inquiry.
