End of the Electrical Safety Standards Transition Period – England Only

The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 (the Regulations) applied to “new specified tenancies” from 1 July 2020 as we wrote about here in March of 2020. The Regulations incorporated a transition period until 31 March 2021 for “existing specified tenancies” with the regulations then applying to all “specified tenancies” from 1 April 2021. So which tenancies were classed as “existing specified tenancies” and what do landlords with an “existing specified tenancy” need to do to comply?
